A nice feature of the AER48 fork is that the air is housed in a separate chamber and a leaking fork seal has zero effect on the air pressure and the fork will not collapse. We recently experienced a leaky fork seal on a set of AER48 forks, (on the air spring side) and rode with it leaking oil with out issue.
