Issued a recall on July 29, 2016 for the 2015 and 2016 Honda Pilot 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive vehicles due to a faulty fuel tanks. The tanks were manufactured with insufficient welds that could separate and allow fuuel to leak, potentially causing a fire risk. Other vehicles affect including the 2015 and 2016 Honda Odyssey and certain Acura vehicles.

The automaker also issued a recall involving defective warning lights operating on the dashboard for the 2016 Honda Pilot 2WD vehicles made between May 4 and Sept. 8, 2015 and 4WD vehicles made May 7 and Sept.
